Our controlled-atmosphere stunning and irreversible anaesthesia process is intended for use in poultry slaughterhouses seeking a solution that best meets the combined requirements of animal welfare and productivity.
Our process complies with European regulations on the protection of poultry at the time of killing (Council regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009 of 24 September 2009).

The CM2A tunnel can be used for all types of poultry: hens, young chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc., as well as small mammals, housed in crates or cages of variable dimensions.
The CM2A tunnel limits health risks related to dust inhalation and can be supplemented by a CM2A dust spraying solution to improve the well-being of hanging operators.

CM2A tunnel operating principles:

• The CM2A multiphase carbon dioxide tunnel gradually exposes conscious animals to a gas mixture, leading to loss of consciousness without exceeding a carbon dioxide concentration of 40%. In the final phase, a higher concentration induces the death of the animals.

Specific equipment associated with the CM2A tunnel:

• The equipment is fully controlled on the basis of slaughter speed and species type.
• A simple, explicit supervision screen is used to adjust the essential slaughter parameters.
• A recorder ensures operating parameters are continuously stored.
• The tunnel is equipped with inspection portholes along the side.
• Its stainless steel structure has a robust design and is easy to clean.
