2004
Drawing on their extensive experience with industrial poultry abattoirs, Gilles Conan and Gérard Lorinquer set out to meet a growing market need: improving the conditions under which poultry are received at the abattoir. Their combined expertise led to the creation of CM2A Constructions Mécaniques et Automatismes d’Armor in December 2004.
2006
Let’s go to Mexico! It did not take long for CM2A to expand into export markets. That year, CM2A installed its first process in Mexico.
2008
Renovation work was carried out to improve working conditions and the facilities available to employees, including new offices, a new staff room and new changing rooms.
2011
CM2A diversified its activities by responding to a need for automated emptying and washing of turkey carcass-chilling trolleys. An innovation in line with our customers’ needs.
2015
In response to successive waves of avian influenza affecting poultry professionals, we developed detergent and disinfectant management systems for our installations. Traceability is ensured through the addition of data recording solutions.
2016
The needs evolved as the size of the installations increased. Still based in Rostrenen, CM2A acquired a second 3,000 m² building to accommodate the development of increasingly large machines.
2017
The company commissioned the first controlled-atmosphere stunning tunnel. This development earned CM2A international recognition. The first CAS (Controlled Atmosphere Stunning) tunnel was subsequently installed in Canada.
2019
Gérard Lorinquer, co-founder of CM2A, retired. He left behind a wealth of valuable expertise, which he had passionately passed on to our teams.
2021
In response to the ongoing threat posed by H5N1 avian influenza, CM2A further improved its washing system to deliver ever-higher washing performance.
2023
The second building was renovated and modernised to accommodate additional activities and provide improved working conditions in the assembly workshop.
2026
CM2A continues to develop new transport solutions with its High Cube drawer module, designed for high-capacity applications.
Its turkey cages have also been adapted to changing on-farm catching conditions and controlled-atmosphere stunning at the abattoir.
